The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall with partly cloudy conditions for the State for the next three days. However, the temperature is expected to rise to 34 degree Celsius from the current 33 degree Celsius
“The light showers will continue for the State for few days. The current maximum temperature is 33.1 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature recorded is 25.3 degree Celsius,” said an IMD official.
At present, Goa has recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius, which is three degrees above normal.
The IMD official said that although there are no predictions about the onset of monsoon over Goa, the conditions are favourable for the rains to hit by first week of June.
