PANJIM: While the Goa government is considering giving permission to two electronic dance music (EDM) festivals in the coastal belt, the State Level Permission Committee (SLPC) has asked the local organiser to change the festival dates as it clashes with another proposed EDM.
In a meeting with the Pernem-based organiser who intends to host a small event at Candolim on December 29-30, the committee has asked for pre-poning or postponing it. The reason being that “Time Out 72 Music Festival” is slated to hold its mega festival from December 27-29, though a different venue – Vagator.
The local firm had applied for permission last month wherein it proposed to host the small festival with a capacity of 4,000 attendees. Whereas the Ahmedabad-based Sudarshan Entertainment Pvt Ltd had applied in May.
“Both festivals are in proposal granted nod but there are still many formalities they need to complete, particularly the local organiser. A final nod will be decided thereafter,” said an official.
The SLPC is expected to hold another meeting on October 30 where further discussions would take place.
