SANGUEM: The villagers of Dudhal Ward in Kalay, Sanguem on Sunday blocked the road leading to ‘Pandhava Cave’ popularly known as Tiger Waterfall as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the village.
Each year during monsoon, a large number of people throng Dudhal to catch a glimpse of the Tiger Waterfall and to bathe at the waterfall.

Last year, following mischievous acts at the waterfall by the visitors, the villagers installed signboards banning bathing and drinking activities in the area as the place is used for religious activities.
Adv Amar Naik, a villager said, “Bathing at Pandhava Cave is particularly banned for women. However, despite the restrictions, women were reportedly seen bathing and this affected the health of a couple of women, who defied the ban.”
