CANACONA: Canacona police have registered a case of unnatural death over death of a youth who was found hanging in a room of his house at Tanshe in Loliem in Canacona taluka.
Sources at Canacona police station said that a woman from Tanshe in Loliem phoned the police station on Sunday saying that his son Sahish Pagi, aged 24, was found hanging to a rafter in her house. Immediately, a police team led by PSI Prashal Desai went to the scene of the incident and retrieved the body of the youth which they said was in highly decomposed state.
Sources said that Sahish was staying with his mother in the house and his mother had gone to visit his sister in Mumbai on June 6 and when she came back on Sunday she found his body hanging and in a decomposed state.
The police said that they have sent the corpse to TB hospital for preservation and an autopsy will be done on Monday before handing over the body for final rites. Police added that they didn’t find any suicide note and believe that there was no foul play in the incident.
Police said that a case of unnatural death has been registered in this regards and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Prashal Desai under the supervision of Canacona PI Rajendra Prabhudesai.
