The TRAI officials listened to the grievances of the telephone consumers during the programme. During the discussion, the authorities were questioned on why the consumer awareness program, which has been mandated to be held in short intervals to ensure good attendance, had not been held since 2013.
“This meeting, which had to happen earlier to cater to the problems of the people, was much delayed, and hence, there was lot of hot discussions at the meet,” said GOACAN convenor Roland Martins, adding, “There are so many cable operators in Margao and today only operator turned up.”
There were several complaints against BSNL regarding its services. Issues relating to digitisation of cable television and others were also discussed.
