MARGAO: One BMW car was gutted in fire at Margao Old Market-Colva Circle on Thursday afternoon and it was a lucky escape for the driver. However, no injuries have been caused to the driver-cum-owner.
The incident was reported at around 1.55 pm, as the car belongs to one Rohan Karekar.

The owner of the car was proceeding from Colva to Margao and reaching Old Market, people passing by informed him about the fire.
“I was totally unaware that my car caught fire. Somebody told me that my car is burning, and then I stopped it and came out from the car,” said Rohan. He also said that the car gutted in fire and loss of lakhs of rupees.
It must be noted that the BMW car is considered one of the safest cars in the world; however, it was a lucky escape to the owner at the fire incident, here.
On the other hand, the incident took place just middle of the road; a major traffic jam was witnessed for nearly one hour.
