Mahila Congress president Beena Naik pointed out that they had issued two memorandums to the government on April 16 and 30 both of which were totally ignored.

She pointed out that in the memorandum submitted on April 16, the Mahila Congress had asked for the sealing of the borders and mandatory RTPCR testing for all those entering Goa. She lamented that the government did not act on their suggestion.

On April 30, Beena said they had asked the government to take possession of the private hospitals to treat COVID patients as the number of cases were increasing but the government slept on it and only acted upon when the situation reached an unmanageable crisis.
