Yet another maid servant was found lifting away gold ornaments from her employer in the city here.
Margao police, however, said the owner did not insist on pursuing the case after the maid servant returned back the two gold bangles, worth Rs 20,000.
The incident is one of the several instances where maid servants were involved in stealing gold ornaments from their employers.
A day ago, a 65 year old maid servant from Cortalim was arrested by the Margao police after she was involved in stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 1.90 lakhs.
The Margao police has so far succeeded in recovering a part of the stolen gold items and are hopeful of effecting the full recovery.
The maid servant has been remanded to two days police custody by the court for the purpose of further investigations.
