PANJIM: Sudhir Pal Sangwan, the main accused in the Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat murder case was released on bail by the trial court ON Friday.
Sangwan was granted bail nearly after 10 months. The court ordered that he be released on a bond of Rs 1 lakh.
Sangwan was arrested by the Anjuna police on August 25 last year in connection with the alleged murder of Phogat (42), a social media influencer and BJP leader from Hisar, who died on the intervening night of August 22-23 last year.
Another accused in the alleged murder case, Sukhwinder Singh Wasi, too was released on bail on May 3. It may be recalled that that Phogat, who felt uneasy was declared dead in a private hospital at Anjuna next day.
