A devastating accident occurred on the Bambolim-Panjim flyover near Old Niyaz Biryani in St Cruz on Friday midnight. The accident involved an Innova Christa and a Hyundai i20 car, both traveling from Bambolim to Panjim. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the i20 car collided with the Innova from behind, causing both vehicles to overturn. Miraculously, all four occupants – one passenger in each car – escaped with minor injuries.
The fact that all occupants were wearing seatbelts is credited with saving their lives. The impact of the collision was severe, with both cars sustaining significant damage.
