PANJIM: Mapusa Police have arrested a Morod resident for allegedly assaulting a woman and her driver over the issue of movement of a vehicle.

The accused has been identified as Jaffar Garodi.
According to police, one Anand Krishna Khobrekar lodged a complaint stating that the accused assaulted his daughter Sneha Kadam and his driver Pramod Uttam Korgaonkar and threatened them with dire consequences. He also insulted the modesty of the woman in open public view, the complaint stated. An FIR has been registered.
under sections 52, 79, 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS and the case is being investigated by Head Constable Abhijit Mangoankar.
