MARGAO: Margao police on Wednesday evening arrested a 39-year-old resident from Igramol, Quepem, who identified himself as Digson Lobo, under section 354A, 354D of IPC; section 11 of POCSA (Prevention of Child from Sexual Abuse), section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
Margao police informed that a complaint was received from a minor victim girl on February 25 that the accused had sat by her side when she was alone in a bus at the Margao KTC bus stand, Margao. After starting a conversation with the victim, the accused had shown her phonographic clippings on his mobile.
Margao PI Sudesh Naik on Wednesday deputed plainclothes police personnel at the KTC bus stand. The move paid off as the accused was nabbed red handed while he was found sitting by the side of a girl in a parked bus. He was immediately detained and later arrested. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Viswajit Chodankar.
