PANJIM: The father of deceased Porvorim youth Mohammed Aga has requested Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to transfer the investigation of his son’s accident case to the Crime Branch or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The father has alleged that Mohammed Aga did not die of an accident but was allegedly murdered.
However, Panjim Police Inspector Nikhil Palekar said the police are conducting an inquiry into the matter.
The complainant, Nazim Aga, father of the deceased, has alleged that the autopsy report is self-explanatory and that his son did not die but was allegedly murdered and died due to excessive beating by the four occupants of the Karnataka registered four-wheeler which was involved in the accident.
PI Palekar informed that the police are investigating the matter after registering a case under IPC Sections 279 and 304 (a). The Police also claim that the investigation is in the right direction and that they may file a charge sheet in the matter by the end of this month.
The Coastal Police had recovered the body of the youth, who was reportedly thrown off into River Mandovi following an accident. His parents claimed that the victim was kidnapped, murdered and thrown into the waters.
