PANJIM: Mapusa police station has been awarded as the best station impressing the police brass for its overall performance including maintaining records, cleanliness and discipline. Panjim and Collem have been awarded as the second and third best police stations respectively.
The concerned police in charges were awarded with a trophy, certificates to all staff and a cash reward. The department had recently announced to choose the best police stations in a bid to improve work efficiency and discipline among the personnel besides maintaining hygiene in and around the premises.
DGP Dr Muktesh Chander said the performance is judged on 10 parameters.
