Margao: Serious concerns have been raised by residents of Ward 21 in Margao after the Goa Forest Department was allegedly found dumping dry leaves and waste near residential homes.
Locals have strongly criticised the act, calling it not only negligent but also a clear failure of coordination and accountability among government departments. The issue has triggered outrage in the locality, with residents questioning how a government agency could dispose of waste in close proximity to people’s homes.
The incident has also put the spotlight on the Margao Municipal Council, with citizens expressing concern over its apparent silence on the matter. Residents are now demanding immediate intervention and corrective action from civic authorities.
Voicing their frustration, locals warned that such practices by authorities set a poor example and undermine public efforts to follow waste management rules. They have urged officials to take swift steps to address the issue and ensure accountability.
