The parents complained that seven headmasters have been transferred in seven years and demanded that the transfer should be after three years.

The protest prompted the management to revoke the transfer order following which the students joined their classes.

Parent Teacher Association chairman Deepali Naik said, “Headmaster Dattatray Naik had joined three months ago and worked in the interest of the student community and had brought some remarkable changes in school which was appreciated by the parents. However, the headmaster was suddenly transferred by the school management. The Parent Teacher Association had asked management to review its decision and cancel the transfer order, but there was no decision.”

The Parent Teacher Association on Wednesday morning along with the parents and students boycotted classes demanding cancellation of the transfer order.

Deepali said that when they approached management they were not given any reason by the management as to why the headmaster was transferred within three months.

The students and parents also warned that in future if the headmaster is transferred before three years then they would come out and protest.

They said that frequent transfers effect changes in the time-table. Soon there will be preliminary exams for Class X and it would be difficult to cope with a new Headmaster who also teaches one subject.

The parents said that the headmaster was also teaching maths and his transfer will make it difficult for the students to adjust with a new teacher. During the past seven years, an equal number of headmasters has been transferred.
