The massive 112‑metre Deltin casino vessel has entered Goa waters and was spotted near Mormugao Port, drawing crowds of locals and tourists eager to catch a glimpse of the grand ship.

Its arrival has added fresh buzz to Goa’s coastal scene even as a legal battle over its operations continues. In the PIL filed by ‘Enough is Enough’ challenging the Captain of Ports’ permission to moor the casino vessel in the River Mandovi, the respondent company has told the Goa High Court that the ship is currently temporarily berthed at Mormugao Port.
The company stated that the vessel will not be brought into the Mandovi without the High Court’s permission, along with all required approvals, certifications and licences from the relevant authorities. The hearing has been adjourned to July 6.
