Midnight services usher Easter

Easter, the feast celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion was ushered in the State with many devotees attending midnight church services followed by solemn eucharistic celebrations
In some parts, parishioners and clergy lit paper-decked candle lanterns prior to the celebration of the Easter Sunday mass.
