PONDA: The issue of migrant vendors transacting illegal business and parking of vehicles at the Curti underpass has drawn the ire of locals who have demanded that the authorities evict the invaders immediately.

The underpass is located near the Sports Complex Junction and is used by locals to proceed to the Curti Panchayat Office as well as the electricity department.
However, of late migrant vendors have taken over the area and sell various kinds of goods, fruits and vegetables here. Vehicles are also parked haphazardly here posing risks to motorists and pedestrians.
Sandeep Parkar said that the underpass is for the safety of locals however migrant vendors have converted it into a hot spot for business.
