During his visit to the office Khaunte found that many workers were absent from their duties. When enquired, he found that a Binder Grade II worker was frequently remaining absent from duty without any intimation not obtaining prior sanction of leave from the superior. The minister ordered that the worker be immediately placed under suspension.

The minister also found that seven technical staff including one offset machine assistant and a multi-tasking staff were absent from their duties during office hours without any intimation. He ordered action be initiated against them by issuing show cause notices to them.
