VASCO: If the panchayat minister lives upto his promise, Dabolim constituency will have giant wheel in Joggers Park, Mahila Bhawan to generate employment to women, beautified Vadem Lake, grade separator to ease traffic and sufficient staff at the Sub-District hospital at Chicalim.
These were the projects and developmental works that Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho assured to take up in his Dabolim constituency. Godinho was speaking after inaugurating a high mast in his constituency on Tuesday evening.
He told the media persons that he is planning to build a giant wheel structure in Joggers Park of Chicalim which will be an attraction in Goa.
“The idea to bring such structure is to give an aerial bird eye view to the visitors. There will be various additional amenities in this park which will include e-library to senior citizens, doubling of walking track, food court, Mahila Bhawan which will generate employment to the women, self help groups who all can do business,” he said.
“The foundation stone for the second phase of the Joggers Park will be laid on August 2. The work is estimated to cost around Rs 14 crore,” Godinho added.
He assured that the grade separators would be functional within two months.
