PANJIM: As COVID-19 cases continue to see a surge, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has slammed Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for ignoring his appeals and warnings over the situation in the State.

At a press conference in Panjim on Monday, the former revenue minister expressed shock that the cases have been over 450 within less than a month.
“It is absolutely shocking that Goa has gone from 0 to 450 plus in less than a month and I am forced to recall the fact that whenever I warned the Chief Minister and the government of this imminent scenario, I was blamed for creating undue panic but atleast now I hope that those who were barking against my projections will stop barking… so that some real action can now be taken albeit very-very late to save Goa from a macabre scene of death all around,” he said.
