Speaking to the media persons, the MLA claimed that a councillor is involved in the illegal hill cutting and road of a construction to make access to his plots.

Dias claimed that the local councillor cited the setting up a fire station as the reason to carry out the illegal act.  “The government is not setting up any fire station close to the police station but instead it will be set up at the IDC,” he informed.

How could the Cuncolim Police allow such an illegal act? Why the municipality is quiet, he questioned.

“I have informed the Cuncolim PI not to allow any illegal work at the site and have  asked the Mamlatdar’s office to take cognisance of the act,” he added. The MLA alleged that the local councillor took advantage of the  COVID-19 lockdown,
