PANJIM: Additional Solicitor General of India Atmaram Nadkarni has filed a complaint with Gmail and SIM Service Provider Idea after his email account was hacked on Thursday.
The senior counsel confirmed that unknown hackers have tampered with his Gmail account. “I began receiving SMSes from my friends asking my whereabouts. When I inquired why, they told me that they have been received mail from my email account asking for money… It then struck me that someone has hacked into my account. I have lodged formal complaints with Gmail and Idea service provider,” he told Herald. Nadkarni was first informed by a senior media person that some photos had been posted on groups.
“Just experienced what is called hacking of account. Knew nothing till some friends alerted me. Asking money to posting dirty pictures very bad,” Nadkarni tweeted.
