The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday submitted draft charges to the South Goa Sessions court, even as the Sessions Judge has asked the NIA to file a chargesheet against accused Prashant Ashtekar arrested in the case.
The court, however, adjourned the matter to August 27 and is likely to frame charges against the four accused Vinay Talekar, Vinayak Patil, Dhananjay Ashtekar and Dilip Mangaonkar at the next date of hearing.
The court is also expected to pronounce its orders on the application made by the accused person for a day-to-day trial of the case and also dispose off the application by the accused to house them in a single cell while in Judicial custody.
