The Maina Curtorim police have raided a house at Calangute on Friday which was used by the gang arrested in connection with the dacoities at Raia and Quepem.
The police has also arrested a goldsmith from Sanvordem in connection with the Raia dacoity. If PI Sidhant shirodkar is to be believed, the police has recovered part of the stolen booty from the arrested goldsmith.
He said the police raised the house at Calangute, which was hired on rent by the accused to further their criminal activities. After a search of the house, the police has recovered a motorcycle from the premises.
Meanwhile, the accused arrested by the Margao police Suleiman Nadaf in connection with the dacoity case has been remanded to five days police custody.
The police are on the look out for around 3-4 persons from North Goa, whose involvement in the dacoities has been established during interrogations.
