PERNEM: Nine BJP-backed candidates filed their nominations on Tuesday for the upcoming municipal election in Pernem in presence of Pernem MLA and Dy CM Manohar(Babu) Ajgaonkar and Pernem mandal president Tulshidas Gawas.
Ajgaonkar said,” These candidates are hard-working and will take the development of Pernem town forward. BJP government is in power at the state and central so by electing the BJP candidates, make BJP stronger.”

Meanwhile independent candidates Shradha Mashelkar, Ashwini Arun Palyekar, member of Pernem Citizens forum Ritu Apule also filed their nominations taking the total nomination to 28.
