MARGAO: Nine huts and a shack were demolished on Betalbatim beach, on Tuesday, for violating the CRZ rules.
The demolition was carried out by the government appointed demolition squad based on order from the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) to clear these temporary structures.
The demolition of the temporary huts and shacks started in the morning and went on till late afternoon with police protection.
