No trust against Assolda sarpanch
QUEPEM (HC): A no-confidence motion has been moved against Assolda-Xelvon panchayat Sarpanch Damodar R Naik and Deputy Sarpanch Sukash Dessai by four members in the seven-member panchayat.
The signatories to the motion include Tony J M Fernandes, Chaya S Dessai, Custodio S Fernandes and Dayanand K Naik. They have alleged that Naik and Dessai were not taking other members into confidence, neglecting development work in the village and promoting illegalities in the village. The motion was filed before Quepem BDO on April 30.
