No trust moved against Aquem-Baixo sarpanch, dy
MARGAO (HR): Political instability has come to haunt the village Panchayat of Aquem-Baixo ruled by the BJP.
Five members of the Panchayat have moved a no confidence motion against the sarpanch Agnelo Dias and the deputy Sarpanch on Thursday.
The five signatories are Maria Magdalena Vaz, Inacio Dias, Milagres Piexoto, Ashok Shirodkar and Manuel Vaz.
They have charged the sarpanch and deputy sarpanch for not complying vis-à-vis the Regional Plan 2021 till date; not holding regular gram sabha meetings; taking decisions without consulting members; failure to take up developmental activities for the last two years and half and allegedly meting out harassment to the villagers.
Copy of the notice has been entered in the office of the Salcete Block Development Office and has urged the BDO to calla meting of the panchayat at the earliest to discuss the motion.
