CM fails to meet Cong bigwigs
PANJIM, DEC 20
Mickky Pacheco will have to wait for some more time for his induction in the State cabinet as Chief Minister Digambar Kamat could not discuss the issue with the high command today.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), an alliance partner in the government, on Saturday had asked the chief minister to drop Jose Philip D’Souza, and induct Mickky into the cabinet.
However, Kamat had said that he would arrive at a decision only after discussing the issue with the Congress high command.
The chief minister, who is in Delhi to attend the All India Congress Committee (AICC) plenary session, had told Herald yesterday that he would discuss the issue with high command today.
However, Kamat told this reporter from Delhi that he could not hold any meeting as the session finished late.
“The session finished at 5.30 pm and it was held 20 kms from Delhi city and we have just reached the Goa Sadan,” Kamat told Herald at around 9 pm this evening.
Asked if he is scheduled to meet the high command tomorrow, Kamat only said “let’s see”.
