MARGAO: The State government under the Atmanirbhar Swayampurna Goa programme has set up a Chaturthi Bazaar at the KTC Margao Bus Stand besides several other locations ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.  The bazaar at the KTC Margao bus stand was inaugurated on Saturday by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and Fatorda  MLA Vijai Sardesai.  Various local vendors from Salcete are participating in this bazaar with their products such as sweets, vegetables, matoli items and other festive products.  Nearly 40 vendors who were identified by Swayampurna Mitras were allotted stalls free of cost on a first-come, first-served basis. The government has urged the locals of Salcete and neighbouring villages to visit the bazaar and encourage the local vendors by purchasing their products. The first day of the bazaar witnessed a huge rush in terms of people visiting the stalls and buying the items on sale.
