The crime branch team conducted a raid on Tuesday and caught one person for being in possession of ganja at Aaradi, Sangolda. During the raid, the suspect, identified as Ashwani, also known as Anil Vishwakarma, a resident of Mapusa and from Uttar Pradesh was apprehended red-handed.
Ashwani was found in possession of a significant quantity of contraband, specifically “Ganja,” weighing approximately 2.800 kilograms, estimated at Rs. 2,80,000/-.

The team, consisting of HC Ashok Gawde, PC Navin Palyekar, Kalpesh Shirodkar, Mahabaleshwar Sawant, Rajesh Shirgaonkar, Sandesh Kambli, and Kamlesh Dhargalkar, executed the operation. The investigation into this case is currently underway, under PI Nathan Almeida.
