MAARGAO: Margao Town Police arrested one Haidar Sab, a resident of Telaulim, for illegal slaughter of animals.
Acting on a complaint lodged by Delhi-based Harshwardhan Rawat, Honorary member of Animal Welfare Board of India police raided Haidar’s house at Telaulim.
The police rescued four buffaloes from his house which were apparently brought for slaughtering as Haidar has a beef selling stall. Besides, police also recovered around 25 kgs of beef from his house. Haidar was arrested under Sections 428 and 429 of IPC.
