One killed at Khandepar accident

One person died on the spot while another man was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding was knocked down by a truck at Keriya-Khandepar on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, the incident took place at about 1.30 pm when Ramesh Sungar and Laxman Anchal, who were riding the motorcycle, were knocked down by the truck, proceeding towards Ponda.
Ramesh died on the spot, while Laxman sustained serious injuries in the mishap. Both riders are natives of Karnataka, but were residing at Usgao.
The truck driver fled from the scene and later surrendered at the Ponda police station.
