“Once started, applicants can submit applications and attach required documents online. We will then scrutinize the forms to carry out e-lottery. There won’t be a need to remain physically present during allotment,” he said speaking to Herald. Habitual violators, among existing shack operators, will be blacklisted under the new scheme. The online system will be a part of the beach shack policy 2017-19 – a review of the current policy.
“We won’t frame a new policy for the next three year policy. It will instead be review of the existing policy, which will contain feedback from the stakeholders,” he said.
