Panjim Fast Track Court Orders Charges Against Altamash Ansari in POCSO and Child Pornography Case

The Fast Track Special Court Panjim has directed the framing of charges against Altamash Ansari in connection with alleged sexual harassment and possession of child pornographic material.

Ansari, a native of Bhiwandi in Maharashtra who was residing in Porvorim, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in July 2021. He is accused of being part of a paedophilia network and of possessing obscene images involving minors.

The charges have been filed under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) as well as the Information Technology Act 2000.
