Permission from destination district required to exit Goa

From now onwards, any person leaving Goa for another State will require permission from the destination district administration. North Goa Collector R Menaka issued the order on Saturday making this mandatory.

“No ‘exit permit’ is required to be obtained from Government of Goa to exit the State of Goa. The person/s intending to travel out of Goa shall obtain permit/s from the concerned destination District/State as applicable,” the order.

Besides informing about the development to Goa Police and the north administration, the order letter has also been sent to District Collectors of Belgaum (Karnataka) and Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) for information.
