Pilgao Dy Sarpanch arrested

Pilgao Deputy Sarpanch Mahadev Vengurlekar was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly obstructing the panchayat secretary from discharging his duties.
In a complaint, Pilgao Panchayat Secretary Harishchandra Gaonkar told Bicholim police that he was discharging his duties in the panchayat, when Vengurlekar abused him and threatened him with dire consequences, besides forcefully snatching office records from him.
Police has arrested Vengurlekar under Sections 186, 504, 506 and 392 IPC.
