PANJIM: As the ‘In My Feelings’ challenge has gone global, leading to dangerous results with youth in India also lured to it, Goa Police is taking no chance even as intelligence reports do not indicate occurrences of any related stunt in the State.
As per international reports, the challenge also referred to as the ‘Keke’ or ‘Kiki’ challenge, has had people around the world getting out of moving cars and getting down low in the street to the lyrics: ‘Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding? Say you’ll never ever leave from beside me…’
While police in Delhi, Vadodra, Mumbai and Benguluru besides other places have taken to social media warning people of jail for giving or taking up the challenge, Goa Police have also got on the act.
Inspector General of Police Jaspal Singh confirmed that Goa has been spared this dangerous stunt. “There is no input about Kiki Challenge as of now but we are on our toes. Patrolling at every point is being carried out,” he said speaking to Herald.
Goa has several places like Taleigao, IDC Verna, etc where the youth resort to performing bike stunts. To counter this, Goa Police have launched a check, particularly during the weekends.
News reports from the international media reveal that the dance went viral after comedian Shiggy posted a video of himself on Instagram busting some moves to Drake’s song. His video didn’t feature a car. The challenge was taken up by Shiggy’s friend Odell Beckham Jr who filmed himself dancing outside a vehicle leading to the birth of the Kiki Challenge.
