Political trouble brewing?

Pramod Sawant, Sudin Dhavalikar tipped as possible successors; Allies do not find the names acceptable

PANJIM: Sources reveal there has been some resentment amongst the allies after BJP suggested the names of Speaker Pramod Sawant and PWD Minister Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar to take over the reins from Parrikar.
Though the party is denying this, BJP appears to be worried about the CM’s health, sources said. It has now been revealed that Parrikar suggested the names of Sawant and Dhavalikar but both are unacceptable to alliance partners Goa Forward and the Independent MLAs.
“Everyone knows the equation between Dhavalikar with (Vijai) Sardesai and (Govind) Gaude and hence that was rejected for now. Even Sawant does not seem to be a consensus candidate,” sources reveal.
Efforts to contact GFP supremo and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai turned futile.
Administration will run smoothly: Sudin
Rejecting rumours of a political crisis, Dhavalikar, who is being tipped to take over the reins from Parrikar said the CM’s absence would not hamper the administration.
“Administration will run smoothly as before. If CM has gone for just seven days then he would be able to handle the working of administration through his office,” Dhavalikar said, adding, “There is no problem with the government now.”
Dhavalikar said that the CM has intimated to every minister that he is going back to the US for a checkup.
