‘Poor working conditions at Old Goa PS’

PANJIM: Advocate Aires Rodrigues has sought the intervention of the Goa Human Rights Commission over the lack of proper amenities and poor working conditions at the Old Goa Police Station.

In his complaint, Adv Rodrigues drew the attention of the GHRC that based on his complaint in 2016 the officials of the GHRC inspected the Old Goa Police Station. In its inquiry report on December 21, 2017 the GHRC had pointed out seven shortcomings while directing the authorities to take steps to improve the working conditions at the police station.

Despite over three long years having elapsed, the complainant alleged that the authorities have not taken any steps whatsoever to comply with the directions.
