The incident occurred on January 19 after the probationary IAS officers, who were in Goa on a study tour as part of ‘Bharat Darshan’ were treated to a delicious dinner in a luxurious hotel by IAS officers in Goa.
The visiting probationers, then got into party mood and proceeded towards the coastal stretch and entered into a popular night club.
“They were completely drunk and subsequently got onto the dance floor… They created a nuisance after which they were asked to either behave themselves or leave the premises,” said disclosed.
The situation got aggravated as the probationary officers supposedly showed off their high-ranking professional status and refused to move out betraying the sorry culture of the supposed elite cadre of the brown sahibs.
After unending chaos, it was finally resolved with the intervention of the club authorities who informed the senior IAS officers, who had earlier hosted the dinner party, about the nuisance created by the young entrants.
Interestingly even as the matter is well known to the State IAS officers, they have remained tight lipped on the embarrassing development, which has painted the cadre in poor light.
