1 If there is construction and concrete with big buildings everywhere and in your villages, will you like it?
2 Will you like it when you go for a walk on the beach and glass from bottles strewn around by tourists cut your feet?
3 Will you allow the beaches and the water to stink due to pollution and garbage?
4 Will you let an even greater number of coal wagons pass through your villages spilling coal on the tracks and the coal dust settling in your homes and your lungs?
5 When you set up an honest business in Goa with money saved up or through loans, will you like it if you have to pay bribes to get all government permissions to get your business started?
6 When the women of your house and family go out and are harassed on the beach and the streets where you have no say, as it is happening now; will you like it and be quiet about it?
7 Will you support the idea of villages in each constituency getting together to shortlist five potential candidates having a clean background and then select one of them through a process, with the others supporting?
8 Will you want money to be paid during elections to buy votes which will lead to massive destruction of Goa or will you look for honest people’s candidates who will be available to you, who will give you a good and strong administration with actual zero tolerance for corruption?
9 Do you want simple, polite, sensitive candidates to become MLAs who will be there for you as your representative or will you be fine with a previously rejected, arrogant candidate who will not meet or speak to you after getting your vote, nor will he/she consult or inform you before deciding to join another party, you had voted against?
10 a) Will you as a father want to be a part of a system where a child dies a brutal death and the system doesn’t even start its investigations to look for those responsible, dismissing the child’s death as suicide?
10b) Following this, will you tolerate and allow the forensic department GMC of not even preserving the viscera, which only can determine what the child was forced to consume?
11 Will you allow parties to ask for votes in the name of caste and religion or on the basis of integrity and honesty towards better governance for Goans?
12 Finally, spare a thought for what is happening in Afghanistan. Is the world ok with what is happening in Afghanistan? About women and children being tortured and pulled out of their houses, raped and killed? Keep them in your prayers and hope that the axis of good is formed to crush the axis of evil.
