Railways Clears Vasco-Hospet Double Tracking; GFP Slams ‘Coal Push’

The Goa Forward Party (GFP) has announced its strong opposition to the proposed double tracking of the Vasco–Hospet railway line, which it claims is intended for coal transportation.

The party criticised MLAs Digambar Kamat, Reginaldo Lourenco, and Sankalp Amonkar, pointing out that they had once joined anti-coal protests at Chandor but were now silent. GFP further accused the State Government of acting as a “Yes Man” to the Central BJP and alleged that the ruling dispensation had also betrayed the youth of Goa.
