Rash, negligent driving kills six cattle at Khandepar

PONDA: In the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, one unknown vehicle driver in a rash and negligent driving killed six cattle at various places on the national highway at Khandepar including one each at the bridge, one at OPA junction and others near saw mill, at Angadi. 

A Khandepar local Sandeep Parkar said, “The incident might have taken place in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. On Monday morning, the cattle were disposed of by the panchayat and some locals.”

“So many stray cattle are roaming on the road and village areas in search of food. The government should construct sheds and also provide food for them on a humanitarian ground,” he added.
