PONDA: Goa Dairy Chairman Madhav Sahakari said that he is not bothered about the outcome of Thursday’s (April 26) no-confidence motion but for him what is important is that the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) should initiate an inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Goa Dairy.
Sahakari, who will face no-trust motion on 26 April, which has been moved by eight directors, said that through his complaint letter on March 14, he had brought to the notice of Registrar the alleged scams in Goa Dairy.
“The Registrar of Cooperative Societies needs to conduct probe into affairs of Goa Dairy for the past many years. I am ready to face any inquiry initiated by RCS or by inquiry committee since his association with the Goa Dairy since 1986. Let RCS decide as to who is guilty for the scams in Goa Dairy, whether it is the MD, the BoD or me as a Chairman.”
It may be recalled that Sahakari had filed a complaint to RCS over the irregularities in Goa Dairy on March14. Later, on April 9, he had levelled allegations against MD Navso Sawanth of being involved in scam and had claimed to possess video evidence. Following this, the no-confidence motion has been moved against Sahakari by 8 Directors.
