PANJIM: Former Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Councillor Menino da Cruz, who recently joined Congress, said he is ready to support the candidature of Utpal Parrikar if he wants to contest elections on Congress ticket.

“If BJP does not give a ticket to Utpal Parrikar, and wants to contest on Congress ticket, I will support his candidature,” said da Cruz commenting on the recent speculation about the son of former Chief Minister (late) Manohar Parrikar, wanting to contest the elections.
Incidentally, da Cruz was addressing media persons to announce that he wants to contest from Panjim on the Congress ticket too.
