PANJIM: In its monthly programme ‘Remembering Tiatr Artistes of Yesteryears’ Ermelin Cardoz, Baptista Cruz Noronha (Cruz Jazzwala), Mossulini Menezes, Santiago Pereira and Kamat de Assolna who were born in the month of May will be remembered.
The programme will be held on May 31, at 4 pm at the Black Box, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
John Claro Fernandes, a well known tiatr writer and director who has also done a lot of research on Tiatr will be the main speaker on the occasion and will highlight the works of these great artistes.
Ermelin Cardoz was the wife of tiatr writer and director Saib Rocha. Cruz Jazzwala, was a well known writer, director, composer and musician Mossulini Vales de Menezes was a freedom fighter and a social worker, Raoji Rane, Padrichem Bondd and Martyr de Cuncolim are some of the popular tiatrs of Mossulini Menezes.
Santiago Pereira was a popular writer and director of the traditional Goan Zomnivelle Khells.
Kamat de Assolna, a Hindu and a well educated personality, embraced the tiatr stage and mesmerized and enthralled audiences with his personality and golden voice.
