The deputy collector had issued eviction notices to 205 shanties in Baina as part of the second phase to clear the illegal structures after massive beach erosion along Baina shore.
The authorities issued two sets of notices to the occupants. Deputy Collector, Mormugao Gaurish Sankhawalkar, who is also part of the disaster management authority, served the notices for eviction while the Mormugao mamlatdar served the notices for demolition of the structures.
